Falfish up-skilling staff in partnership with Cornwall Colleges

Nineteen employees have been presented with certificates by Mark Greet, Managing Director at Falfish and Sally Foard, Director at CCB, for achieving the Level 2 certificate for Proficiency in Fish and Shelfish Industry skills and levels 3-5 vocational training.

Mark Greet, Managing Director at Falfish said: “Our employees are learning every day in the job but this adds real interest to the roles they are doing. It helps give more credibility with our customers and training is very much what we believe in and we plan to continue doing more of it.”

Theresa Middleton, HR Manager at Falfish, said: “Training is embedded from induction to competency and beyond. Internal promotions and secondments are living proof that we have an excellent succession planning process in place. It is also evident that significant investment has made to supply the relevant support and training activities which are increased year on year to ensure we are all up-skilled to match our industry growth. “

She continued to say: “It goes without saying that as part of the ‘day-job’ there is training in place at all times from the day we join. We are constantly learning and developing.
