Falfish is a leading multi-species seafood processor located in Cornwall in the heart of Europe’s richest and most diverse fishing grounds. The company was established in 1979 and from inception the business model has been to fully integrate with the catching fleet to maximise our partnership with our suppliers.

The company has rapidly grown over recent years operating predominantly in the UK and European retail sector and wholesale / food service business.

Falfish has approximately 80 skilled employees with a highly experienced procurement and production management team.

In 2004 Falfish opened a new purpose-built 3,000 sq m facility at Redruth, combined with its busy port operations base for fishing vessel landings at Falmouth.

Falfish purchases more than 40 species of fish and shellfish from all the main South West auctions and direct total catch from a fleet of vessels in Cornwall, Devon and across the English Channel, Wales and Scotland. Procurement of fish is also derived from many other European ports.

Sustainable fisheries and responsible fishing from well managed fisheries are of great importance. Falfish joined the steering group of Invest in Fish Southwest in 2004, a ground breaking project to improve local fisheries policy through stakeholder engagement.

The company has a uniquely diverse spread of operations specialising in finfish fillets and portions, quality inshore pelagic fish, scallops – Falfish is a leading UK supplier of king scallops and cephalops such as cuttlefish, squid and octopus.

The company has invested heavily in process data-capture technologies for full traceability and optimal operational and financial efficiency.

Falfish has BRC EFSIS accreditation as well as Sea Fish Industry Authority Technical Standard for Quality Processor Scheme – Higher Level. Winners of Queens Award for Enterprise 2006.
